Day 4 {Something Green}
My new goodwill find!
(and no these aren't my daughters feet. It's a secret, equally cute little girl!)

Him.
I had my birthday weekend in Denver Colorado.
And I saw him.
Finally. After 10 years of being completely consumed in his music. I had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Conor Oberst, and the Bright Eyes band.
Anyone I talk to has no idea who he or Bright Eyes actually are.
Now just pretend I'm talking about your favorite musician or song. The one that gets your heart pumping. The one that explains your life so perfectly. The one that was always there in the silence of your room.
Conor Oberst has been with me through break ups, break downs, and complete let downs.
He has also been there during my favorite moments with my favorite people.
Dead of winter and riding in a car in the middle of my two best friends at 3 in the morning. Summer drives with all the windows down and my children in the back seat trying to sing along. They know it makes me happy.
I sat in the balcony of the Fillmore with a beer and my husband next to me. As soon as Conor came out I started my excitement slapping that I do. Telling my husband to look, there he is! As if he could miss it.
It was mesmerizing. Breathtaking. And beautiful.
He writes, and speaks to the heart in ways I could only dream of.
He is perfection.
Thank you Mr. Oberst for the best birthday I could ever ask for.
